ART THERAPY TLV
Some of the most powerful forms of self-expression are non-verbal!

Art therapy uses creative techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpting, and collage-making to foster self-awareness and well-being. Through the art-making process, the creator and the therapist work together to gain insight, resolve issues, and lessen feelings of stress and anxiety. Creating art can not only be healing in itself, but also a significant means of communication that transcends words and reflects our inner experience.

At Art Therapy TLV we offer individual and group art therapy sessions for adults and children, as well as therapeutic art workshops. Art therapy is for everyone, not just those with prior art experience. In art therapy, the focus is on the process of making art, and the feelings, thoughts, and reactions that arise, rather than the finished product.
By delving into the art-making, getting messy, and exploring different materials, art therapy encourages the creator to tap into their innate creative abilities and utilize their healing potential.
ART THERAPY FOR ADULTS
One-on-one weekly sessions are a great way to experience the healing power of art on a personal level. The structure of the sessions includes a collaboration of art-making and verbal conversation, and is based on your goals for the therapy. During the sessions, I will guide you to tune into the sensory and emotional reactions that you experience through the art-making process in order to gain a deeper understanding of internal processes, and manage inner conflicts.
ART THERAPY FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS
Children express themselves naturally and give us a glimpse into their inner world through creative expression and play. Art therapy can help children explore their challenges creatively and in a safe environment, so they can better understand themselves in relation to their world. Sessions are child-centered and are sensitive to each child's specific needs.
GROUP ART THERAPY AND WORKSHOPS
Group art therapy is a powerful way experience emotional growth in a supportive atmosphere. Receiving insight from other members in an art therapy group can be incredible transformative and provide an alternate perspective to each person's individual process. Groups meet weekly for 2-2.5 hour sessions and typically run for 6-8 weeks. The group size averages between 6-8 participants.
A BIT ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Ally, an American-born art therapist now living in Tel Aviv.
What I love about art therapy is that it encompasses my love for creating art with my natural will to connect to others.
My approach to art therapy is inspired by a combination of mindfulness, intuitive expression, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychoanalytic approach. Through verbal conversation and art-making, I encourage my clients to face their challenges in a safe and creative way while moving toward personal growth and fulfillment.

I received my B.S in fine arts from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and my M.P.S in art therapy from The School of Visual Arts in New York City. In addition to my work as an art therapist with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Welfare, I am the owner and founder of Art Therapy TLV.
